How to Reach the Sky - Venice - Italy

Barrisol^® is supporting the artists Barbora Šlapetová and Lukáš Rittstein for their installation “How to Reach the Sky”, presented at the Venice Biennale at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini.

This monumental work uses nearly 400 m² of Barrisol^® membrane to create an immersive experience in which an indigenous community from Western Papua meets the world of space exploration.

Born of more than 25 years of artistic research, this collaboration is part of a broader approach exploring the links between myth, science and technology, already begun through several international exhibitions and installations.

Through sculptures, films and scenographic devices, the work questions our relationship with the sky and the unknown, while highlighting the material as a vehicle for emotion and narration.

Beyond its aesthetic and technical qualities, the Barrisol^® solution brings an essential advantage: its modularity. Easy to dismantle and reinstall, it allows the works to travel and to adapt to different exhibition spaces.
