International mobilisation to defend the environment

As a responsible company, Barrisol is a member of the American, Canadian and British Green Building Councils, pioneering organisations in the field of environmental protection in the construction sector and the originators of LEED certification (equivalent to HQE, high environmental quality).

BARRISOL stretch ceilings can be integrated into HQE buildings such as the Faculté-Fonderie in Mulhouse, a converted former metallurgical factory now home to the Mulhouse University of Law and Literature.

Les Recyclés^® for Green Building constructions

Thanks to the range of the sheets Les Recyclés^®, Barrisol takes part in the installation of the constructions respectful of the environment of the type "green building".

LEED Platinium building project

Barrisol is present in the^1st Hotel in Europe with the LEED Platinium certification, the Avenida Sofia Hotel in Spain.

HQE building project: Faculté-Fonderie in Mulhouse, France

High Environmental Quality (HQE) for buildings, a concept that emerged in the early 1990s, is now at the heart of a major movement that concerns the entire building industry.

With this in mind, the Mulhouse Foundry project has been designed and oriented to take account of all the components of the building and its life cycle. In this way, it meets the environmental requirements set out in the HQE approach, as demonstrated by the use of Barrisol stretch ceilings, which are 100% recyclable.

Renovation without demolition

Barrisol favours intelligent solutions that avoid the unnecessary removal of existing elements. Thanks to stretch ceilings, it is often possible to cover existing surfaces directly, such as old panelling, without generating waste.

Less demolition means lower costs, less environmental impact and optimised energy savings - for renovation that's fast, clean and sustainable.
