Barrisol sheets, a noble and recyclable material

Barrisol offers Biowood, a recyclable biopolymer containing up to 92% natural materials.

Barrisol stretch ceilings are entirely recyclable and classified B-s1,d0, B-s2,d0 or A2-s1,d0 depending on the finish.
They meet the most stringent environmental and safety standards.

The recycling of Barrisol sheets, certified by the EPD verified

Barrisol sheets are 100% recyclable.
All the materials used in their production are recyclable or made from recycled materials.
They are neither landfilled nor incinerated.

This action for the protection of the environment is considerable when one knows that more than one million square meters of stretch ceiling are manufactured each year.
The fabrics are recycled after use to make other materials.

The manufacturing process does not require the use of water, which saves this vital resource. The fabric is also non-flammable and non-toxic.

Taking back old Barrisol ceilings for recycling
Barrisol takes back its old sheets from its installers to integrate them into its recycling process.
Since the beginning of this commitment, several hundred old ceilings of all colours and finishes have been taken back, some of which are over 40 years old!

Comparison between a Barrisol stretch ceiling and other types of ceiling

100 m² of Barrisol requires only 25 kg (50 kg with the fixing profiles) for 4 kg of packaging, contrary to traditional ceilings which represent 12 kg / m² for 100 m² and 20 kg of packaging on average.

These light weights and compact dimensions limit the energy required for manufacture, packaging and transport, thereby reducing the impact on the environment.
