Louvre Museum Store - France

After exploring the collections of the Louvre, the bookshop and store is the final stage of the visit. More than a retail space, it is designed as an extension of the museum, where every architectural detail helps to showcase the artworks, the books and the exceptional objects. This ambition to make the store "the last room of the museum" lies at the heart of the project imagined by Studio 5•5, in collaboration with Richez Associés, ACFI, Concepto, MDS and Clarity Studio.

To accompany this renaissance, Barrisol^® had the privilege of creating numerous bespoke light frames, as well as the spectacular monumental light fixture that welcomes visitors from the moment they enter.

Designed with the Barrisol Lumière^® and Print Your Mind^® solutions, this fixture becomes a true architectural signature. It does not merely illuminate: it guides the eye, structures the volume and fully contributes to the identity of the space.

Barrisol^® solutions also light the display cases and certain walls of the store, revealing the books, the reproductions and the works of art with precision. An even, controlled and elegant light, designed to enhance the collections without ever drawing attention away from their richness.
