Master Keishu Kawai was born in the Japanese prefecture of Ibaraki, northern Tokyo.
Trained in the art of calligraphy at the prestigious university of Tsukuba, then for ten years by the great Master Sôin Furutani in Kyoto, she became a Master of calligraphy in her turn, and exhibits her creations all over the world. At the same time, she teaches her art of calligraphy.
Today, adopted in Alsace, in this land particularly rich in Franco-Japanese exchanges, Master Keishu Kawai focuses on the art of calligraphy, and develops increasingly unique collections, bringing a touch of modernity to the traditional calligraphy of the land of the rising sun.
The sensitivity of the ink on the paper, the elegance of the lines, calligraphy with accuracy and elegance gave this insatiable artist a desire for large formats.
