The Unterlinden Museum, housed in Colmar in a former 13th century convent and in a contemporary building designed by the Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, welcomes more than 300,000 visitors a year.
The famous work of Matthias Grünewald exhibited at the Unterlinden Museum: the Isenheim Altarpiece, considered to be "the Mona Lisa of the Middle Ages", had to be restored. Barrisol®, a sponsor of the museum and the restoration of the Isenheim Altarpiece, allowed visitors to continue enjoying this masterpiece during the restoration works. In fact, Barrisol® realized and installed reproductions of these same panels (Crucifixion, Annunciation and Resurrection), in sepia colour with printed Artolis®.
Barrisol® is proud to have been able to participate in this exceptional and unique project and to contribute to the maintenance of the cultural heritage for our region.
