Barrisol and management

On a day-to-day basis, respect for the environment also involves a series of actions carried out at all stages of the company's life. To this end, Barrisol has put in place a number of internal environmental initiatives.

100% renewable energy

In line with our commitment to protecting the environment, Barrisol^® Normalu^® has been next to the Kembs hydroelectric plant since its creation. The electricity we consume comes from this plant and we therefore use the energy produced by the force of water. Without pollution and 100% renewable, this source of energy allows Barrisol^® to manufacture its walls and ceilings which will make your interiors even more beautiful and functional, while respecting the environment thanks to Barrisol^® products which are 100% recyclable.

Energy savings

The premises of BARRISOL-NORMALU SAS are equipped with the Thermalu heating system, an ecological and innovative solution of economic electric heating which consumes very little energy and ensures a soft and stable temperature. Thermalu^® heating film is made from over 50% recycled materials. Presence detectors are also installed in the buildings, enabling lights to be switched off automatically.

Reducing air pollution in the environment

The company provides its employees with minibuses for car pooling in order to rationalise the use of private vehicles and, above all, to limit pollution.

Barrisol reduces carbon emissions: 350,000 km/year saved thanks to the Barrisol shuttles, i.e. 3.5 million km over 10 years!

The Barrisol plant has 6 shuttles for transporting personnel. They transport approximately 35 people per year... which makes approximately 350,000 km saved per year!

Packaging recycling

The company places the notion of recycling at the heart of its activities. All premises have specific bins for recycling materials such as paper, cardboard and plastic.
